Molasses describes her
beautiful, ebon skin and her sweet nature. However, I bestowed this nickname
upon her in 2009, when I learned that it accurately describes her pace. My
hurried movements and verbal warnings are null and void when I stress the
importance of going. From my lips to her ears, she’s determined that a slow,
steady pace is appropriate. And that’s one of the many reasons why I love her!
At the tender age of 4, she already knew that “slowly, steadily, surely, the
time approaches when” God’s “vision will be fulfilled.” (Habakkuk 2:3, TLB).
Yesterday, she celebrated
10 years of life and I thank God for allowing me to see her mature. I am
overjoyed to introduce you to my Goddaughter/Molasses/Angel/Future Spelman
Sister, Erin N. Johnson. I pray that her testimony will give you hope to
believe in God’s vision for your life.
Peace & Love You

I enjoyed reading about Erin. I have a fear of taking a test and this was a great testimony! When I have to get re-certified, I will remember little Erin saying to ask for God’s help. I’m glad that you were inspired to do From Hell to Win.
